New Jersey PTA strongly encourages PTAs to obtain adequate insurance protection against liability and financial loss due to fraud, embezzlement, or dishonest acts.

Though not required, insurance protects PTAs and volunteer leaders and gives you peace of mind that’s worth it. 1. Event Insurance (General Liability with Medical Payments)

Protection against lawsuits for bodily injury or property damage liability resulting from a sponsored event. This includes access to $5,000 in medical payments outside a lawsuit.

2. Directors & Officers Liability

Protection for your organization and its directors and officers from lawsuits for “wrongful acts.”
